ABOUT ME

This is the first time I've written a novel, but this is NOT my first time writing a literary work.

When I was a kid, I HATED WRITING. All I wanted to do was play outside with my friends and watch TV.

Then one day, I read a book called Peter Pan. For some reason, I was curious on how this story was different from the movie.

After reading that story, my life changed. I didn't fall in love with writing. Instead, I fell in love with STORYTELLING. To this day, it amazes me that you can make a whole world out of nothing.

At first, I wrote manuscripts for children's picture books. The problem was no publisher wanted me.

That's okay. While I was writing children's picture books, I had an idea for a children's animation movie. In that moment, I decided to write a screenplay for that idea.

For a few years, I got hooked into screenwriting and entered those screenplays into competitions. I placed in the Second Round for the Drama category of the 2019 Austin Film Festival, the quarterfinals of the 2019 ScreenCraft Drama Screenplay competition, and other competitions.

Then in the summer of 2020, I learned a lot about life after overcoming an obstacle in my life. Once I overcame that obstacle, I incorporated all the lessons that I learned about life into this story. I also incorporated other themes into this story because my imagination went wild.

This story is fiction, and just like screenwriting, this story is like a movie in your head. At first, I wanted to keep this story to myself, but I have a feeling that the universe wants me to share this story to the world.

I hope you give this story a chance. I had a wonderful time writing this story, and you'll enjoy it, too.
